By Scott Lemon, Yellowstone Christian College SID

POWELL, WY — The Northwest College Trappers found their shooting touch from downtown on their home floor, connecting on 83% (10 of 12) of three-point attempts en route to a 94-57 victory over the Yellowstone Christian College Centurions on Tuesday night in Powell, Wyo.

Tayler Calf Boss Ribs had herself a day on Tuesday for the Centurions, racking up 20 points to lead all scorers, including connecting on 5 of 8 three pointers. Fellow freshman Sharnell Thomas also had a solid game, scoring 14 points to go along with six rebounds. Tiani Alvarez picked up four assists to lead all players in that category.

The Centurions, who never led in the ballgame, had a tough time taking care of the basketball, committing 25 turnovers compared to just 13 for the Trappers.

The Trappers were led by Lovell, Wyo. native Charri McArthur who dropped 15 points. She was joined in double-digits by Maddy Johnson with 12, Kira Marlow with 11, and Lauren Hinkley with 10. Every active player for Northwest scored on Tuesday night.

Yellowstone Christian has a full week to prepare for their next ballgame as they will host the Dawson Community College Buccaneers next Tuesday night at The Shrine Auditorium. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
